Japanese bank to allow ATM users to set daily limits

Japan Today: Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp will allow depositors to set the withdrawal limit on their ATM cards in a range between 0 yen and 3 million yen (U.S. 0 and $27,358), starting Oct 6. The first service of its kind by a major Japanese bank is in response to an increase in withdrawals with stolen ATM cards, according to Sumitomo Mitsui.
