TNS Smart Network adds 300 ATMs in September, largest one-month gain ever

TORONTO - More than 300 new ATMs were installed on Canadian transaction processor TNS Smart Network's switch in September, representing the largest one-month gain in the company's history.

The majority of the growth came from new deployments in various Canadian retail outlets, including supermarkets, restaurants, and hotels, according to a news release.

"Growth potential is still high in Canada," said Mischa Weisz, president and chief executive of TNS Smart Network, who added that he believes as many as 10,000 additional ATMs will be deployed at retail sites over the next few years.

Among the services that TNS Smart Network offers its ISO clients is WEBMON, a real-time, Web-based interface, according to the release.
