LONDON - Card Tech Ltd., a UK-based leader in the global payments industry, has implemented its PRIME card and merchant management solution as the platform for the United Arab Emirates at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, according to a news release.
CTL software, like its PRIME solution, is used in more than 160 banks from 60 countries and provides solutions for card issuance, merchant acquiring, authorization, message switching, encryption-key and PIN management, e-commerce and fraud management.
ADIB has built a portfolio of Islamic banking products built on PRIME that includes card programs like The Covered Card.
ADIB also has additional options for expanding its portfolio with functionality from PRIME.
"The mechanism of our Covered Card posed a challenge for the card processing systems," Mehairi said. "We spent a considerable time assessing payment-card-system providers that would meet the current and future requirements of our unique payment card product. We are very pleased to have chosen CTL."
