NORTH CANTON, Ohio - Diebold Inc. has named Dennis M. Moriarty, 52, vice president of the company's Global Security division, according to a news release. Moriarty succeeds Bartholomew "Bart" Frazzitta, 62, who retired.

In his new role, Moriarty will lead the division in providing integrated security solutions to customers in financial, government, retail and commercial markets around the world. Moriarty most recently served as vice president of Customer Business Solutions for Diebold. Frazzitta will continue to assist Diebold in a consulting capacity, focusing on new growth opportunities.

"Dennis brings excellent qualifications and experience to this position and is the ideal person to grow our security business as it enters into new markets and geographies," said Eric C. Evans, Diebold president and chief operating officer. "Bart Frazzitta has played an integral role in the double-digit growth of Diebold's security business, developing new product solutions and creating and sustaining valuable customer relationships. We thank Bart for his many contributions to Diebold and wish him and his family all the best in their future endeavors."

Moriarty joined Diebold in 1996 as Eastern Division vice president, where he led the sales, service and systems organizations. Prior to joining Diebold, he served in senior leadership positions at Pitney Bowes Corp. in Stamford, Conn.

A native of Stamford, N.Y., Moriarty holds a bachelor's degree in English from Iona College in New Rochelle, N.Y., and has completed advanced course work in business management and leadership at Indiana University, Case Western University and Columbia University.

Frazzitta joined Diebold in 1972 as a sales representative in western Pennsylvania. During his tenure with Diebold, he held various positions, including regional sales manager, division vice president of sales and vice president of marketing. In 1991, he assumed his most recent position within Diebold, leading the development, sourcing and manufacturing of physical security, facility, electronic security and card-systems products the company offers in its various market segments.
