LEXINGTON, Texas - Dash ATM signed with Fort Walton Beach, Fla.-based First National Bank & Trust to provide drive-up enclosures for various branches in Florida, according to a news release.
Dash is incorporating Triton's FT5000 island ATM into its model 2000 secure enclosure.
In the past, financial institutions' only choices for drive-up ATMs were Diebold or NCR - secure ATMs with level 1, level 2 or level 3 safes. But the Triton FT5000 also has an internal level 1 safe to house its cash dispensers. And the Dash 2000 provides added security to the Triton island unit, said Dash partner Mike Adams, because it is a seamless enclosure that will not collapse inward and leave the ATM exposed if would-be criminals wrap a chain around it and attempt to drag it off the island.
"We have installed angle iron supports to anchor the FT5000s, and our secured doors and recessed locks are designed to keep the ATM safe in such a way that even if the safe-designed hinges are cut off the doors you still cannot gain entry into our enclosure," Adams said.
"Our experience is that financial institutions expect a higher level of security and integrity for the deployment of both their branch and non-branch drive-up ATMs, which the DASH 2000 enclosure has helped us accomplish," said Chuck Schwab, of FedCorp, a value-added reseller for Triton.
Joanie Dudas, assistant vice president and ATM coordinator with FNB&T, said FNB&T has been a Triton distributor in Fort Walton Beach for five years. It was vital that FNB&T, when purchasing Triton FT5000s to replace its drive-up units, locate a suitable ATM enclosure. FNB&T found availability and functionality in the DASH 2000.
FNB&T has placed more than100 ATMs in its direct market that are processed and serviced in-house.
Being a Triton distributor allows FNB&T to sell and process ATMs for other FIs as well.
