PHILADELPHIA - Lance Johnstone, a Minnesota Vikings football star, is helping Swipe USA lead its east coast expansion. According to a news release, Johnstone will join Swipe's San Francisco team as vice president of business development.
Johnstone and senior management will concentrate on expanding in retail spaces to deliver complete banking solutions to urban markets. The former Temple University football star is active in his hometown of Philadelphia, which is of particular interest to Swipe. "Swipe is revolutionizing the banking experience and wants to bring the dignity of banking to urban areas across the U.S.," said Swipe's chief executive Ron Christensen. "Johnstone's commitment and familiarity with the realities of the urban market are crucial to our success."
