Indian postal department prepares for ATMs

The Hindu Business Line: The Department of Post in New Delhi, India, is making a blueprint for setting up its own nationwide network of ATMs for postal-savings account holders. According to the proposal, account holders also will be issued debit cards. If the proposal goes through, the postal department will have one of the largest ATM networks in India. However, officials said no time-frame for the completion of the project has been set.
