PONTE VEDRA, Fla. - Global Axcess Corp. has acquired a portfolio with more than 1,500 ATM sites in the United States, a deal that marks the company's sixth acquisition in two years. The name of the company selling the portfolio and details surrounding the acquisition were not disclosed.
Global Axcess' now owns and operates some 5,000 ATMs.
"We are extremely excited with the acquisition of over 1,500 ATMs," said Michael Docak, Global Axcess' chief executive, in a news release. "This will increase our current number of ATMs by more than 40 percent. This acquisition represents a high gross margin business for GAXC."
"We will continue our pursuit of similar initiatives as we focus on additional business to round out the 2005 year-end and initiate our 2006 strategic plan," he added.
