BROOKINGS, S.D. - Judges for the ATM Industry Association have selected nominees for the 2005 Best ATM Technology awards.
According to a news release, the nominees were judged by three respected industry experts from Asia-Pacific, the United Kingdom and South Africa in three categories -hardware, software and ATM security.
From a list of two or three nominees per category drawn up by the judges, ATMIA members voted for winners in each category. Winners will be selected through a majority vote and announced in February at ATMIA East.

Hardware:
- NCR Corp. for its Personas M Series' "look and feel"
- NCR Corp. for the its "deploy anywhere" Personas 71
Software:
- Triton for its standard interface
- Level Four Software for its ATM True Test
- First National Bank (South Africa) for its use of an ATM as a sales and communication tool
ATM Security:
- TMD Security for its Card Protection Kit
- NCR Corp. for its Intelligent Fraud Detection system
