DENVER - First Data Corp. and Bank Midwest (with more than $3 billion in assets) have formed a new merchant-services alliance.
According to a news release, First Data will provide all merchant payment-processing services for Bank Midwest. First Data also will enhance the technology offered to Bank Midwest merchant customers through an expanded portfolio of electronic payment products and services such as online sales capabilities and gift card programs.
"Bank Midwest is committed to offering our clients the best payment technologies that enable them to stay competitive by meeting consumer demand for payment choice and security," said Tim Thomas, executive vice president of Retail Banking. "First Data will help Bank Midwest deliver a superior product that adds value to our business customers."
