BEIJING - NCR Corp. has signed a deal with Bank of China to install its new Personas M Series 76 ATMs with intelligent deposit capability. According to a news release, the order includes a maintenance services agreement.
The deal reflects the immense market potential for automated cash-deposit terminals in China. According to research conducted by Retail Banking Research, China may offer the world's largest market for automated-deposit terminals.
"Bank of China is a long-term customer of NCR," said Keith Taylor, senior vice president of NCR's Financial Solutions Division. "We are excited to see the bank move forward in its deposit-automation strategy by further migrating deposit transactions from the teller counter to the self-service channel."
