EDINBURGH, England - China Construction Bank, the largest bank in China, deployed KAL's Kalignite multivendor software platform to more than 6,000 ATMs in its China-wide network.
According to a news release, KAL development partner Shenzen Zijin is the bank's application supplier.
Kalignite has enabled CCB to deploy Zijin's application across its diverse ATM estate, which includes hardware from NCR, Diebold, Wincor and Hitachi and three other companies. The Hitachi ATMs are cash-recycling machines with full support from Zijin's multivendor software application..
"There is now wide acceptance in China for multivendor ATM software," said KAL chief executive Aravinda Korala. "With their Kalignite software solution, CCB can choose any model and type of ATM that best suits each deployment, independent of hardware vendor. KAL's Kalignite platform is unique in that it provides CCB complete freedom to select ATMs from over 25 different manufacturers."
