SOUTH HACKENSACK, N.J. - Innobeta Systems Inc., an ATM transactions processor, signed an agreement with Ventus Networks to provide secure wireless technology for ATM processing, as well as monitoring and maintenance-management services.
According to a news release, Ventus will supply wireless service, VFN routers and software and network management services to enable ATMs processed by Innobeta to use wireless.
Ventus' delivery service operates in conjunction with TCP/IP and legacy protocols, allowing any ATM, POS or kiosk device to communicate through a single network scheme. Ventus' SecureNet software enables operation in all CDMA and GSM environments.
"Wireless transactions are about 30 percent cheaper than and three times as fast as dial-up telephone transactions," said Innobeta chief executive Eric Park.
The Ventus Operations Center benefits from direct connections to all major cellular providers, said Ventus president and CEO Keith Charette.
"This fully managed service allows us to serve the needs of each of our customers who are challenged to provide connectivity to all their remote locations in a timely and cost-effective fashion," he said.
