Threshold partners with Canadian FI for transaction-processing, ATM driving

TORONTO - Threshold Financial Technologies Inc. announced in a news release that it will take over all transaction-processing (issuer and acquirer) and ATM driving for most of Ontario-based Meridian Credit Union's ATMs. Meridian, the resulting entity of the April 2005 merger of Niagara Credit Union and Hepcoe Credit Union, is Canada's third-largest credit union.

"Meridian operates two legacy and disparate transaction processing environments, and was challenged with developing a convergence strategy that would meet the current and future technical, business and operational needs of the organization," said Threshold president Matthew McIver. "Threshold proposed a solution that met those objectives."
