DALLAS - Columbus Data Services announced in a news release that it now supports Triton's online ATM journal. According to a news release, the journal captures information at the host processor and makes it available via the Web to CDS clients.
Journal information from an ATM is stored on the processor platform, where it can be used to research cardholder disputes. The online access allows faster and less costly dispute-resolution by eliminating ATM visits or dialing into ATMs to pull journals.
ATMs do not have to be taken offline for journal retrieval.
"This technology will greatly improve the cardholder dispute process while giving merchants and ISOs the capability to store the journal information, without the costs of obtaining and storing huge quantities of journals," CDS's vice president of business development, John Willmon, said. "We are using similar technology on hundreds of NCRs today, and would one day like to provide this support for every ATM on our platform."
