DAYTON, Ohio - NCR Corp. announced in a news release that KBC Group, one of Europe's leading financial entities, is expected to deploy NCR's new Personas M Series ATMs across its network in Belgium and France.
NCR will be the sole ATM supplier. Delivery of the NCR Personas M Series 76 is underway.
"Our customers will be able to select their transactions from a high-quality, color touchscreen," Dirk Cuypers, head of electronic banking for KBC, said. "To ensure that the ATM is accessible to every customer, the height of the ATM as well as the size and location of its screen make the Personas M Series easy to reach and easy to use by all consumers, including those with disabilities."
The image-based units include intelligent cash-deposit-transaction capability, in lieu of envelope deposit. Some of the new machines also are equipped with cash-recycling functionality, which accepts, validates, sorts and stores deposited cash.
"Providing 24-hour, image-based cash deposit capability is a serious advantage compared with the traditional way of depositing cash at the bank counter," Patrick Goasguen, vice president of NCR in France and Belgium, said.
