LEIDEN, Netherlands - Collis announced in a news release that it has been approved to provide Multos interoperability testing-type-approval services. Collis will provide pre-mask and post-mask type approval, which vendors are required to pass before distribution of their products.
Multos is the high security, multiapplication operating system for smart cards. Approval services ensure a fast and efficient response, reducing time-to-market.
Collis' consulting services will be related to the investigation of issues identified through interoperability testing. Collis also will provide consulting services that relate to the enhancement of the interoperability testing platform to support certain implementations.
"The commercial availability of interoperability testing-type-approval services guarantees a fast and efficient response," Dirk Jan van den Heuvel, Collis' managing director, said. "The effective combination of Multos ITP and Collis interoperability testing-type-approval services ensures a more simplified implementation process.
The type-approval process ensures interoperability between platforms from different operating-systems. Collis will play a key role in ensuring high standards are upheld.
