Check 21: Envelope-free ATM deposits take off at Wells Fargo

East Bay Business Times: Wells Fargo & Co. is expected to convert 400 of its ATMs in California to accept envelope-free deposits of cash and checks. Customers will soon be able to deposit up to 30 bills and 10 checks at one time at the ATM. Wells Fargo has 60 envelope-free ATMs in Northern California. The bank has been piloting envelope-free ATMs since 2002.
