BROOKINGS, S.D. - The ATM Industry Association announced the appointment of industry leader Mike Hudson to the executive board.
Hudson, the general manager of NCR's EasyPoint ATM LLC, has been named a member of ATMIA's executive board. Hudson, who is filling a vacancy, will immediately assume his position.
"I appreciate the ATMIA Executive Board's vote of confidence in electing me to the Board. ATMIA has long been a champion of the ATM industry, on behalf of both banks and ISOs alike. I am thrilled to continue my activity with this organization, and be a part of their proactive efforts that have had such a positive affect. It is a privilege to join a board of some of our industry's most recognized leaders," he said.
Hudson began his career in 1974 with Southland Corp, the parent of 7-Eleven.
Before NCR's acquisition of Tidel Engineering LP last year, Hudson served as Tidel's executive vice president and chief executive. Before Tidel Hudson was president of Convenient Automated Transaction Systems, the USA's first non-bank ATM network.
In addition to ATMIA's board, Hudson serves on the Electronic Funds Transfer Association's board and is a member of EFTA's executive committee. He also is the chairman of EFTA's ATM Integrity Task Force.
ATMIA also welcomes its newest London association member, Alan Townsend.
Townsend, a former member of the London-based Metropolitan Police Flying Squad, joined the association on a part-time basis. He helped establish "Bank Note Watch" and "ATM Security Working Group" teams, who have produced crime data and crime fighting recommendations.
