Sudanese bank signs with CR2 for ATM solution

DUBAI - Al Salam Bank in Sudan has launched an ATM network using CR2's BankWorld ATM solution.
According to a news release Al Salam Bank licensed the BankWorld suite, which includes Channel Manager, ATM Controller and Client, from the Dublin, Ireland-based company at the end of last year. The bank implemented the solution in less than three months.
"With two thirds of all transactions now taking place on the ATM, we have plans for a rapid expansion of the ATM network," said Hussein Mohammed Al Meeza, chairman and managing director of Al Salam Bank. "We also intend to add a mobile top-up service to our ATMs and launch point-of-sale, Internet and SMS banking facilities for our customers. CR2 and the BankWorld solution are critical to that expansion."
