DAYTON, Ohio - Aurich-Norden, an East Friesland, Germany-based savings bank, signed a contract with NCR Corp. for the conversion of its self-service channel to NCR.
According to a news release, the contract includes 21 new NCR Personas M Series 76 ATMs as well as NCR Personas Print account-statement printers, NCR Personas 77 interior ATMs and NCR Personas M Series 86 exterior ATMs. The bank now has approximately 57 NCR cash machines and 64 NCR account-statement printers.
Aurich-Norden expects to install a number of the Personas M Series 76 units for cash withdrawal only. Other units will serve as combined cash-dispense and cash-deposit systems, while some will be set up to recycle cash. Cash recycling, popular outside the United States, provides the capability to issue previously deposited cash for subsequent withdrawals. The solution helps migrate more transactions to self-service while gaining efficiencies, such as freeing teller time, reducing cash-in-transit collection costs and minimizing overall cash-management expense.
"It was very important for us that the solutions we selected offer future flexibility to maximize our investment," Aurich-Norden's Hans-Peter Günther said. "Thanks to the modularity of NCR's Personas M Series, we have the option of easily adding cash-recycling functions at sites with a suitable balance of deposited and dispensed bank notes."
