First Data signs ATM network, debit processing deal with Chicago bank

DENVER - First Data Corp. has renewed its agreement with Chicago's LaSalle Bank Corp. ($116 billion in assets) to provide Star Network access and signature-debit processing for the bank's more than 1 million cardholders. According to a news release, Star is now LaSalle Bank's primary ATM network in the United States.

The Star Network serves more than 5,700 U.S. financial institutions and provides cardholders with account access at approximately 1.9 million ATM and retail locations. There are more than 140 million cards carrying the Star logo.
