LONDON - Credit Card Solutions U.K. Ltd. is ready to launch its international EMV debit-card program, the company announced in a news release.
The program is expected to cater to organizations interested in implementing international closed-loop card-payment solutions. The program is EMV compliant, to ensure that it meets the latest industry specifications laid down by EuroPay International, MasterCard Worldwide and Visa International. All cards issued under the program are smart cards (chip and PIN) with magnetic stripes.
Five banking institutions from West Africa have already signed to have their card programs released during the third quarter, Credit Card Solutions said. A "significant" number of credit unions in Northern Europe also have signed up.
