DENVER - First Data Corp.'s remittance division, Remitco, and EchoStar Communication Corp. have extended their agreement for transaction-processing services.
Financial terms of the long-term contract were not disclosed.
Under the new agreement, Remitco will begin processing one million additional payments from EchoStar's Dish Network users per month. That is in addition to the approximately two million payments per month that Remitco already processes.
"Remitco's ability to deliver high-quality remittance processing time and again was the key factor on why we granted them additional business," said Shannon Picchione, vice president for EchoStar. "We know that our customers' payments will be processed accurately and promptly, allowing us to focus on our business."
