Triton Holds Blood Drive, Surpass Goal by 52%
LONG BEACH, MS - ATM manufacturer Triton, the largest provider of off-premise ATMs and ATM management software in North America, recently held a blood drive at our corporate headquarters on East Railroad Street in Long Beach. By participating in the blood drive on Wednesday, August 23, 2006, Triton employees and members of the community who stopped by to donate blood helped the local American Red Cross surpass their daily goal by 52 percent. "It isn't everyday you can do something to save someone's life, but that's exactly what you do every time you donate blood," said Brian J. Kett, Triton's President. "And, that's why, as one of the largest employers on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, we hold regular blood drives. We are committed to supporting our community, and by donating blood, our employees are doing just that." The American Red Cross estimates that in the U.S. someone needs a blood transfusion every two to three seconds, and 95 percent of all Americans will need a blood transfusion at some point in their lives. Triton will hold a second blood drive on October 12 at our manufacturing plant, located at 21405 Avenue B in Long Beach.
