CINCINNATI - Fifth Third Processing Solutions announced Sept. 6 that it has signed merchant-processing-services contracts with Federated Department Stores Inc., operator of Macy's and Bloomingdale's, hhgregg and USA Drug, a Stephen L. LaFrance Pharmacy, Inc. company.
"These retailers understand the importance of providing their customers with the best-possible payment services," said Donald Boeding, Fifth Third Processing Solutions senior vice president and general manager of merchant services. "We are pleased that they also see the value of our best-in-class processing tools which enable them to streamline operations and provide better, faster and more efficient service to their valued customers."
Fifth Third Bank Processing Solutions processes more than 17 billion ATM and POS transactions per year for more than 1,500 financial institutions and over 147,000 retail locations worldwide. According to The Nilson Report (April 2006), Fifth Third Bank is the fourth largest bankcard acquirer.
