BROOKINGS, S.D. - The ATM Industry Association has launched for its members a self-service assessment system for corporate governance.
According to a news release, the online service incorporates the association's seven recognized corporate-governance principles into a 50-question survey that tests the strength of a company's corporate-governance system.
"Companies curious about how well they are doing with corporate governance, or who want to improve their corporate governance, should take the online test," said Mike Lee, ATMIA's chief executive. "We operate in an era of increasing automation, and it is important to provide value-adding business services online which are convenient, time-saving and cost-saving."
Once the corporate-governance assessment has been completed, respondents can their scorecards as well as a set of recommendations related to the areas of weak corporate governance that have been identified by the survey. These results and recommendations are then e-mailed to the member for follow-up actions.
Last month, ATMIA introduced a companion online ATM Risk Management system, which includes an ATM risk matrix, survey and synopsis of risk-management recommendations.
Both online systems weigh answers in terms of importance, generating a score that reflects how well members are performing in key areas of risk management and corporate governance.
