DAYTON, Ohio - NCR EasyPoint LLC, a subsidiary of NCR Corp. formerly known as Tidel Engineering, and Australian-based wireless company Symstream Technology Group Ltd. have partnered to globally market EasyPoint ATMs with Symstream wireless technology.

The wireless-option EasyPoint line is expected to initially deploy in Asia Pacific, where data networks are limited but mobile-communications-voice networks are available.

According to a news release, the partnership could lead to the integration of the Symstream II solution into all of NCR's EasyPoint products. The combined solution will allow merchants to send transactions to their financial-services providers without a connection to a fixed-line network.
