CBS11TV: Police in Garland, Texas, have arrested three men suspected of breaking into a check cashing store and stealing the safe. Typically the thieves have taken a safe or ATM from check cashing or dollar stores throughout the region by smashing a vehicle through store windows. Police there said at least eight communities are reporting similar crimes.

Currently Dallas police are investigating at least 50 smash-and-grab incidents at check cashing and dollar stores since August 1st.
