Diebold brings functionality to ATMs in Costa Rica

SAN JOSE, Costa Rica - Diebold Inc. is installing its Agilis software on Costa Rica-based BAC I Credomatic ATMs.

According to a news release, the extensions software will give ATM users the ability to access account statements, obtain account balances, and make credit card, loan and other real-time bill payments - all with or without the use of a card.

Credomatic will introduce the e-banking channel technology on 30 to 40 branch ATMs. Credomatic also has plans to expand to select locations in Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala and Nicaragua over the next six to eight months.
