ONTARIO, Calif. - Co-Op Financial Services has launched a prepaid program designed to give member credit unions an alternative to individual retail prepaid-card options.

According to a news release, consumers can purchase the prepaid gift cards at their credit union; and credit union members can purchase Co-Op GiftCards at any participating credit union branch. The cards can then be used wherever Visa and MasterCard are accepted.

To assist Co-Op member credit unions with program implementation, the Co-Op GiftCards program includes plastics, Web activation and account-balance tracking, card packaging, transaction processing, database management, reporting, customer support and turnkey marketing.
