SYDNEY - Phoenix Interactive Design Inc. has completed its rollout an ATM initiative for Sydney-based St.George Bank.
 
In 2002, St.George awarded Phoenix an exclusive contract to use Phoenix' VISTAatm software solution to drive its ATMs. Since going live in July 2003, St.George and Phoenix have worked to deliver new features such as text-to-speech audio capability, which facilitates ATM usage by the visually impaired.
 
The deployment of multilanguage capabilities across the St. George's ATM estate is the first in Australia, according to a news release. In addition, users of St.George and BankSA ATMs will be able to conduct ATM transactions in one of seven languages - English, Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, Korean, Vietnamese, Filipino, and Italian.
