NORTH CANTON, Ohio - Diebold Inc. has signed an exclusive upgrade/replacement deal with PNC Bank, which is part of The PNC Financial Services Group Inc., for hundreds of the bank's existing ATMs.
According to a news release, the deal also calls for the addition of new ATMs in 2007. The new and upgraded ATMs will feature Diebold's Intelligent Depository Module, which allows envelope-free deposits.
The enhancements are part of a multimillion-dollar investment by PNC during the next two years to improve the advanced functionality of its ATMs.
"We have a long-term relationship and, for many years, Diebold has assisted us in developing new technology to better serve our customers," said James S. Walker, senior vice president at PNC Bank.
