First Data POS subsidiary expands into Canada

TORONTO - TASQ Technology, a subsidiary of First Data Corp., has announced plans to expand into the Canadian market. The expansion comes after First Data's acquisition of Solika Solutions Inc., provider of inventory-management solutions in the Canadian POS industry.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

TASQ offers an array of POS sales, services and support. The acquisition of Solika will be the first TASQ operation outside the United States.
