PATNA, India - Central Bank has announced the installation of biometrics-enabled ATMs from Wincor Nixdorf International through a deal with Wincor's Indian distributor, AGS Infotech.
 
According to a news release, the ATMs will be used by the bank to reach unbanked and underbanked consumers in rural India.
 
The biometrics-enabled ATM replaces the use of PINs with thumb impressions.
