ePaynews: Union Bank of India has teamed with Indian software firm Financial Information Network and Operations and Cashpor Micro Credit to launch a biometrics-based smart card trial in Uttar Pradesh. The biometrics cards, which are being issued to people without bank accounts, contain the cardholder's fingerprints and banking information.
