Telegraph.co.uk: G4S, an England-based security and cash-handling company, says it plans to double its acquisition spending to £200 million (U.S. $402.8 million) before the end of the year. The group, which employs 500,000 people in 80 countries, intends to focus its resources on developing markets that now account for 24 percent of the company's profits. U.K. cash handling, one of the two core operations along with U.S. security, increased in revenue in the ATM division "as a result of customers moving toward a full-service ATM proposition." G4S has also won "a substantial contract" to replenish bank branch ATMs for HBOS.
