The Associated Press: Competitors Diebold Inc. and NCR Corp. are convinced bank customers will want to communicate with ATMs through their cell phones or personal digital assistants. A bank customer could quickly find an ATM location and set up a transaction on the way to it. The technology also could help track ATM card thieves.
