MISSISSAUGA, British Columbia — Ficanex Services Ltd. Partnership, operator of THE EXCHANGE ATM network in Canada, has signed Threshold Financial Technologies Inc. as its central switching provider.
According to a news release, Ficanex has more than 235 EXCHANGE network members, including HSBC Bank Canada, National Bank of Canada, Vancity Savings Credit Union, Coast Capital Savings Credit Union and Meridian Credit Union.
"The solution proposed by Threshold will allow THE EXCHANGE network to offer its members a more advanced and value-driven suite of services," said Linda Matheson, network general manager. "We believe that Threshold will be a strong, strategic partner and will deliver a solid platform for THE EXCHANGE network to operate on, providing enhanced levels of service and support in an environment that is EMV-chip ready."
Threshold will initiate its switching service to the network in January 2009, operating the solution on its IBM AIX-based Postilion Active/Active switching platform.
