NORTH CANTON, Ohio — Diebold Inc. says it has completed its deployment of its Agilis EmPower software on 250 Opteva ATMs owned by the Maybank Group, Malaysia's largest financial institution.
According to a news release, EmPower's open-software, development tools and services will allow Maybank customers to complete traditional full-function transactions at 250 Diebold Opteva ATMs in Maybank's network. By implementing EmPower, the FI expects to streamline its self-service fleet in Malaysia to better serve its customers.
Maybank has more than 450 branches in Malaysia and an international presence in 13 other countries.
"The implementation of our EmPower software positions financial institutions to further their competitive advantage in many regions," said James Chen, senior vice president and managing director for Diebold Asia Pacific and EMEA. "With scalable architecture, EmPower is designed to support current and future needs of financial institutions for implementation as those needs arise."
EmPower supports the entire Agilis family of software, including Agilis Office Suite, allowing migration to new enterprise-level software quickly and with superior stability.
