Diebold preps for financial reports, expects release in a few weeks

NORTH CANTON, Ohio — Diebold Inc. says it expects to release preliminary financial results for the full year of 2007 and the first and second quarters of 2008 within the next four to six weeks.

According to a news release, Diebold is compiling financial-restatement adjustments resulting from an internal review that is nearing completion. Diebold also continues to review the results with its external auditors and audit committee.

Upon completion of this process, including audit-committee review and approval, Diebold will release preliminary financial results and hold a conference call for analysts with management.

Diebold expects to announce details for this conference call approximately one to two weeks prior to the release date.
