(Hampton Roads, Va.) WAVY-TV, Channel 10: Getting cash from a machine is simple when you deposit a check. But the convenience for some has become a nightmare for others. Joyce Chartier received checks from the Internal Revenue Service — but she told police that one one of those checks disappeared and was cashed by someone other than Chartier. The alleged thief reportedly cashed the check at a check-cashing Vcom ATM owned and operated by Cardtronics LP.
