BRIDGE:test enables banks to automate software quality-assurance testing. In North America , BRIDGE:test is used to test the software applications that run on ATMs.
According to Level Four, the Windows operating system affords a greater graphical capacity for advanced ATM transactions and personalization, and goes hand in hand with the eXtensions for Financial Services (XFS) open standard — which allows banks to separate ATM software and hardware purchase decisions. But the move to Windows has increased complexity of the ATM and led to greater frequency of change in the software environment itself.
Using techniques such as remote software maintenance, predictive hardware maintenance and direct-to-device diagnostics, Level Four's BRIDGE:control is helping FIs maximize ATM uptime. BRIDGE:test and BRIDGE:control assist FIs in building, testing and managing XFS-compliant, multivendor ATM applications that increase customer satisfaction, expand features and reduce operating expenses.
"Despite the recent write-downs associated with the mortgage side of our customers' businesses, the demand for BRIDGE:test and BRIDGE:control remains high, due to the strong return on investment and incremental increase in ATM uptime these products provide," said Steven R. Level Four says it soon expects to release a resource guide that will touch on do's and don'ts for U.S.-based ATM networks migrating to Windows.
