MarketWatch: Discover Financial Services has settled a 2004 lawsuit against Visa Inc. and Mastercard Inc. over anti-competitive rules that Discover claims limited its growth. The lawsuit, which was expected to go to trial this week, settled late Monday, on the eve of jury selection in the case, said a clerk for U.S. District Judge Barbara Jones. Discover had been seeking about $6 billion. The clerk had no details about the settlement.
