SALT LAKE CITY — Companion Systems Inc., manufacturer of branded ATM surrounds, enclosures and kiosks for the U.S. financial market, has merged with Wingenback Inc., a supplier/installer of ATM environments in Canada.
According to a news release, the merger creates the largest producer and retailer of ATM environments in North America.
The deal is expected to be completed immediately, with both companies retaining their respective company names and territories.
"Right from the initiation of our partnership discussions, it was clear to me that combining the resources of both companies ensured that our customers received the best value possible," said Wayne Wingenbach, president of Wingenback.
Both parties have agreed to have all ATM-environment products produced at one location. Manufacturing will be merged into one principal facility located at Companion Systems' North Salt Lake, Utah, plant.
"By centralizing all manufacturing into one facility, we can maximize operation efficiencies," said Al Tiley, president of Companion Systems.
Wingenback will continue selling ATM products and services to the Canadian market, while Companion Systems will focus on the U.S. market.
