Cincinnati — Fifth Third Processing Solutions on Dec. 11 is hosting a free webinar at 2 P.M. entitled "The Business Case for Image Processing."
According to a news release, the webinar will focus on the economic challenges and market unsteadiness, and how those couple with increasing customer demands are necessitating greater reliance on innovative, high-tech solutions.
David Walker, president and chief executive of ECCHO, a key proponent of the modernization of processing solutions for financial institutions through Check 21, will join Michael Beach, vice president of check image payments at Fifth Third Bank. Both professionals will discuss new technology available for image processing, challenges with image adoption, and options for outsourcing these processes and creating a plan and business case for an image-processing transition plan.

Walker has more than 18 years of experience in data processing and 25 years in banking. He has worked with ECCHO since 1989.
Beach is vice president of check image payments at Fifth Third Bank and has more than 10 years of check-processing experience. He is responsible for setting the strategic direction and supporting the execution of Fifth Third Bank's check image payments strategy. Beach also has taken an active role in the deployment of Fifth Third's image products, including merchant deposit capture, image ATM, correspondent electronic deposit, branch capture, and image proof of deposit.
