ATM skimming in New Zealand gets corporate attention

Stuff.co.nz: ATM skimming in New Zealand has led to an industry initiative to respond to the security problem posed by so-called "techie" thieves. ATM technology company ITS is planning a security conference in Auckland for early 2009 to address the ATM security problem. In the United Kingdom, ATM-skimming fraud had been estimated to cost more than Â£140 million (NZ $370 million) each year.
