NASHVILLE — The Diamond Kiosks & Surrounds company's Diamond Virtual Technician is a patent-pending product that automates service calls that are required by seasonal changes and inclement weather patterns.
According to a news release, the Virtual Technician has add-on devices that can shut down ATM equipment when temperature or humidity inside the ATM's kiosk reach detrimental levels.
The Virtual Technician can "Reduce utility costs; reduce first- and second-line maintenance calls; eliminate human error as well as man hours; eliminate equipment damage and failure; extend the life of ATMs, camera systems, alarms, etc.; (and) ensure revenues and consumer confidence," said Diamond Kiosks' sales engineer Jeff Duggin.
Duggin says savings can vary and are often determined by the type or brand of ATM equipment being protected, cost of service calls, climate, payroll, cost of utilities, surcharge levels, and transaction counts. That said, savings could range between $1,000 and more $5,000 per location.
