RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. — World-renowned speakers from top organizations, including the founder of Travelocity.com and campaign manager for Obama 2008, will be headlining Co-Op Financial Services' THINK 2009 event April 5-8 in Austin, Texas.

"THINK: Change Your Mind" is designed to help attendees absorb insights and business-building tools from speakers and companies that are leading in their respective categories.

Speakers on blog and podcast

For the first time, Co-Op is hosting a Q&A blog and podcast with some of the speakers. The Q&A kicks off in late January.

This year's speakers include:

  • Scott Bedbury, former worldwide advertising director for Nike, "Differentiation & Branding"
  • Michael Bergdahl, former director of "People" for Wal-Mart, "Own Your Category — Change/Challenge/Choice"
  • Terry Jones, founder, Travelocity.com, "The Business of Innovation"
  • Doug Lipp, former head of training for Walt Disney University, "The Magic of Exceptional Customer Service"
  • David Plouffe, campaign manager for Obama 2008, "Adapting in a Changing World: Building a Grassroots Movement in the 21st Century"
  • Peter Schutz, retired chief executive of Porsche AG Worldwide, "Getting beyond a commodity business"
  • Robyn Waters, former vice presdient of trend/design/product development for Target, "Reinvention: Trend / Counter Trend"

"Our speakers were hand-picked for their fresh, yet tried-and-true visionary approaches to every business challenge," said Stan Hollen, president/CEO of Co-Op Financial Services. "THINK will encourage attendees to seek out the infinite possibilities presented by these challenges, and discover innovative approaches to their credit union. And, in this unstable economic atmosphere, it is more important than ever to learn from some of the world's best business minds."
