TNS Smart Network renews PCI DSS compliance

TORONTO — TNS Smart Network Inc., Canada's largest privately owned transaction processor, has renewed its annual compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.

According to a news release, TNS must successfully undergo a yearly renewal to service international visitors with Visa PLUS cards who use ATMs on its network.

"With the growing amount of regulatory activity in the Canadian marketplace, the PCI Data Security Standard is driving organizations to seriously evaluate and strengthen their own security infrastructures," said Mischa Weisz, president and chief executive of TNS.
